The U.S. House of Representatives has
Started Monitoring Textbook Prices
Beginning in the summer of 2006, the House’s
Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance will take a one-year look at the rising
costs of textbooks and make recommendations
to lawmakers and interested parties on ways to
make books more affordable. In the meantime, there are several Web sites to get used books, and even free books including:
