Children’s Choices for 2006 Announced
Each year, thousands of children, young adults, teachers, and librarians around the United States select their favorite recently published books for the “Children’s Choices” booklists. These lists are used in classrooms, libraries, and homes to help young readers find books they will enjoy.
This is a booklist with a twist: Children themselves evaluate the books, and provide reviews of their favorites. Since 1974, Children’s Choices have been a trusted source of book recommendations used by teachers, librarians, parents—and children themselves.
Books selected for the Children’s Choices list have been grouped by reading levels:
-
Beginning readers (ages 5–7)
-
Young readers (ages 8–10)
-
Advanced readers (ages 11–13)
