Education is a priority in my administration. As Governor of Arizona, I realize that a quality education is important to every family, each child and to our community as well. Higher education is a key ingredient for success in today's competitive, technological society; and saving for a college education has never been more accessible to serve this purpose.
In order to take advantage of the opportunities provided by higher education, it is important for families to plan ahead. With this in mind, Arizona implemented the Arizona Family College Savings Program to help financially prepare for your child, grandchild or family member who wants to receive a postsecondary education.
This program provides an affordable way to prepare for that child's future. The benefit is the special consideration given to gifts, donations and deposits in a college savings account, providing tax-advantaged status for the interest earned.
